Hello Winston

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The Yahoo! Auctions Abuse team has reviewed your rating and we have
found no violation of the Yahoo! Terms of Service at this time. For this
reason, we have determined that the rating will remain.

For further details on Yahoo!'s policies, we invite you to visit the
Yahoo! Terms of Service along with the Yahoo! Auctions Guidelines at:

http://sg.docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/

http://sg.yahoo.com/auctions/guidelines.html

Yahoo! Auctions expects its users to honor their commitments. If you
offer an item for sale and a winning bid is made, or if you bid for an
item and you win, we ask that you complete the transaction. Yahoo! is
not a party to these transactions and is not in a position to force
bidders or sellers to honor their commitments. However, sellers and
bidders who do not complete transactions may be subject to negative
feedback and/or termination of their Yahoo! ID.

Yahoo! seeks to discourage bogus bidding. If you should encounter a
bogus bidder, you have a couple of options. You can cancel their winning
bid and sell to your second place winner, or you can resubmit your
auction.

Here are a few things you can do to try to avoid bogus bidders in future
auctions:

1. Yahoo! Auctions provides sellers the ability to cancel bids in their
auctions at their own discretion. Because you cannot reverse this step,
we advise you to use this tool carefully and only as a last resort. Once
you've removed a bidder, they will be gone from your auction.

** When Should I Use this Feature?

-If you have had repeat problems with someone bidding your auctions and
not following through, you can now delete their bids.

-If you are unable to contact someone because they have changed their
email address, you can cancel their bid.

** How Do I Use This Tool?

-Click on "Manage this auction" on your item page.
-In the Auction Manager, you will see a link to remove bids.
-Click on this and it will take you to a list of all the bidders in your
auction.
-Click on the bidder you wish to remove.

Once a bid has been cancelled, that bidder can no longer participate in
that auction.

2. You may want to check the box to Blacklist this bidder, to prevent
them from bidding on all your future auctions.

3. You can also set the minimum bidder rating when you submit an auction
to prevent bidders from below that rating level from being able to bid
on your auction.

4. Finally, you have the option of leaving negative feedback for the
winning bidder if they do not follow through with the transaction.

It is very important to us that Yahoo! Auctions is a safe place to
participate in Internet commerce and we appreciate your writing to us.
Please feel free to contact us again if you experience future problems
or if you did not find your answer in this message and need further
assistance.

Yahoo Auctions Resolution 3

This time I am a bit mad. The Yahoo people is getting nowhere. All of them seems to be standard answers. I am starting to guess that Yahoo is actually run by robots. They just reply with standard templates and hope you will give up...

But this doesn't answer my question at all. I want an answer whether Yahoo is going to do anything about it at all. If not, then I should just post an insult back to the user because Yahoo! is OK about this. I will repost the question here, please READ it and don't just reply me with an automaticed answer :

Again, let me stress its not about the honoring and the bidding terms.
The fact was he bidded, did not response. End of auction.

Virus at Play during lab lesson

Recently I attended a security related vendor lab training session and to be surprise I got a nasty present from the network when I am connected. There was a virus running loose in the classeroom and it has attempted (actually managed) to write itself to whichever share it can find. Not bad at all. I got tons of the same file in different folders and name all 81,920 bytes. OK, lets not worry what virus this is because my AOL (actually its Kaspersky) Antivirus has found it and killed it on the spot. It was fortunately I was armed even though this was my crappy P3 1.0Ghz office notebook. Imagine what if I wasn't.
Anyway, the point was that it was a strange incident becaused I had never attended a class with virus infection running around. I must bear this in mind that I will take extra caution when it comes to my turns. Hai, thats not a virus, its just Ethereal... What? No la, I am just doing you a favor by scanning your computer for you... What? Oh, Internet banking? Can, can. No problem, there is internet here...

So far I have watched till Episode 20. Some of the concept is pretty cool, especially if taken from the point of view of the creator of Macross. Anyway, some of them are pretty funny as well. For example, the one episode about dieting. However, I would like to comment on Episode 19, which the artwork is horribly. Yes, not just the virtual world, look at the real world part, the drawing are like fan arts! They must had tried with their students or something. Anyway, that was the worst episode so far. So let me finish this and I will have more to say about it.

NanShin! Gataii! Go~AQUARION!!!

The sound of Silent

I had talked so much about it and now I really have some thoughts about the script for this movie. It will definitely be something very new for me. The title suggests, its already a very controversial movie about the world of a deaf boy and how he imagine sound in this world will sound to him.

The story will probably be so much more peaceful than the other ones I had planned. So, you can say this is a big shift from my normal violent style to a more artistic kinda of view of life.

Of course you can rest assure I would take this chance to bash the world about how noisy and everything this world has become today. Then again, just answer me this question : When was it you last had silent? Did you not hear the sound of silent then? If you cannot remember, then is deaf a penalty? Or perhaps was it a gift instead?

SE K800i RMA

Yes, unbelievable. Its dead. Can't turn on. Tried pulling battery out, try another battery, try with and without M2, with and without SIM card. All cannot. DEAD.

It all happened when I was receiving a phonecall, then suddenly WHITE screen of death and the phone turn off. Then I tried to on again, got white screen. Then nothing else since then.

I must say I m rather disappointed at the quality of the SE phone now... So sad... :(

Maybe I should have reserved the "Goodbye My Love" for this phone as well... :(

Win XP NoSP, SP1 and SP1a will stop support on 10 Oct 2006

http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifesupsps

Read the above. Yes, its true, not a myth or anything. IF you are still not using XP SP2, this is a good time to consider moving on. If you are daring enough, go for Vista. But do expect 70% of your software will break.

For my poor friends who are still using dialup, you know who you are! You may want to pick up the SP2 CD from me.

Back from HITB 2006 Conference

Was a tiring and rush trip. Not to mentioned -$ for hotel, -$ for shopping in KL, -$ for no-apy leave and finally -$ for the conference. :P

BUT its well worth it. You know why? Cos I learned so much this time. And also lots of new faces and technology there. To mention some, got SCAPY (throw away netcat), IPv6 Hack from THC and others and other stuff.

This time round, we get to really hack something loh... Yes, I know... The bloody hotel internet charging system. Was a big mess I tell you. Well, in any case, since we are not basically bad guys, we still honestly pay for what we use. YES, with money, what do you mean with what?

Well, also get to see Anthony again, he is one of my favorite speakers. Others include Joanne who wrote the Vista Blue Pill (Well, finally I get to see her in personal, but anyway I was too shy to introduce myself :P) and a very interesting individual, Window. Yes thats her name. Ok, she was from Microsoft, but anyway she is the Chief Security Something-Or-Other (hei, thats the REAL designation ok?) of Mozilla now.

Coming to that we had decided to make some changes to our company front as well as some logistic things such as fancy email. Well, I actually would want to propose we have company designation like "The Tech Guy", "The Sales Guy" etc... It doesn't sound so stone. But this is Singapore... I am not sure how the locals takes that.

Well, I will post more on the conference later. Meantime, its rest and to disgest these stuffs.

Yes, this is the fitting slot for the lamp inside the bus stop advertisement panel. It does remind you of a bear does it not...

Bread Factory Horror

I think you might find thgese somewhere online, but those site are not what I recommend you see. Stanson Bakery in Malaysia is raided for non-HALAL compliance. But that is the least I care because what was shocking was the condition of the bakery. Also that is nothing I need to care unless I purchase these product. I took a spin at my kitchen and fainted....

(20 minutes later)

Ya, got those bread here. Was selling at 70cents per loaf last week. Must be due to this raid, clearing stock. Maybe change name and restart or what. Brand affected : High5, Sure Value.

So what sort of problem are we looking at...

1. Illegal Workers
2. Factory Hygiene Problem
3. No face mask and gloves

Well, better feed those remaining pieces to the cats downstairs now...

Nenshin! Gattai! GO AQUARION!

Another mecha anime surface about 1 year ago. Sousei no Aquarion.
Finally got to start watching it.. Till 5 episodes now. Aquarion has elements of Getta Robo, Evangelion etc in them. Its about young teenagers with the power of the "elements" piloting the ultimate weapon of the human race, Aquarion against the fallen angels in the apocalypse world. The 3 fighter jets can merge in different configuration giving to different mech, Solar, Mars etc and of course, the ultimate Genesis Aquarion.
So far, I watched 5. I heard it get boring after a while, I shall wait to see... Meanwhile, just enjoy the part they transform. "Nenshin! Gattai! GO AQUARION!" Doesn't it sound like "GO GETTA ROBO!" :)

Food Festival Frustration

There is this Kelly's store which sells hot dogs and many stuff. The crowd is there and so is the squeeze. Well, that I can't complain. Not within the control of the store, but what happen was really unbearable.

I was there trying to buy the Takoyaki. Its Octopus balls in short, but lets not drill into the food detail. Anyway, there was no proper queue, then a lady from the left slot in. Shouted her order. OK, the girl from the store serviced hers. Maybe I didn't see her when I was there and she was here first. Then one lady slotted from the right and shouted her order. I also told her my order. What happened? With only barely enough for another order, she said have to wait... Then she pack for the lady who slotted in! Come on, this is sexually discrimination! You mean in Singapore there are such thing as auntie-priority? I was totally mad. I told her I wont buy anything from her and walk away!

Angry, of course I am! Firstly, I blame the store for not setting up proper queue lines. I also blame the store for hiring such stupid staff. These are staff that surely drive customer away. And for support, I hope after reading this, you can boycott and condemn this brand "Kelly".

OK, come back to the food. I think it will suck anyway. The Takoyaki is not made fresh. They fry up all the balls and put in a basket. When you order, she packs it into a box and spray sauce and flakes on it. This is unlike the true Japanese style where the ball goes straight from the pan to the box.

SE K800i Emulate MegaBass

Well, the fact is dun have means dun have...
But the least you can do is to somehow get the bass effect close to what MegaBass was.
To do so, go set the equalizer to manual.
Then Set it to a Valley shape.
That will be the both side full. The middle part low. Does not need to be zero...
Now try it.

Thats should give you something that is close.

Sony Ericsson K800i Megabass-less

Yes, face it. THERE IS NO MEGABASS! And there will NEVER be. It cannot be flashed via firmware. Either it has the capability by hardware or it doesn't. Sony has splited very clearly to have the K series to now carry the Cybershot branding. This makes it a camera oriented phone. While on the W series, the walkman phones will carry the Megabass capability.

This is quite sad. To believe K750i has it and this comes to a downgrade. At least by specs anyway. But the good news is that, the bass is actually pretty strong on its own. So I am not saying the sound is like shit. In fact, I think its pretty good enough on its own. But it does not carry the Megabass logo kinda disturb me thats all.
