Xiao P needs Beijing 101?

Despite the hair drop, I had confidence with Xiao P. He has bene losing near his eyes and face. Due to his age, which is about 2 years old give or take, I know some things I may not have control over. however, he is active and plays, eat, sleep well. I supposed I did not haveto worry too much.

I had tried giving cod liver oil as what I had read and also give up all the sands and beddings. Instead I had replace it with organic beddings from Japan. Hopwfully this will make he better. As for his food, I can't help stopping his snack. After all, whats there in life if you cannot enjoy it. But I had to seriously cut down on salty stuff and sunflower seeds. There is a debate whether sunflower seeds are indeed bad for hamster. So far, I take a neutral stand, but perhaps changing to a more neutral diet with less sunflower seeds may be better. But again, Xiao P is a very picky hamster who knows good food.

Despite the hair lost, Xiao P does not attract any less animosity from Hiro, my other male moated Pudding. With only a face look, Hiro charges at the cage in an attempt to (attack/give a very violent welcome to) Xiao P. Of course, Xiao P cannot be bothered as usual. He lies safe in his side protected by the cage. That comes ot conclusion that I should not let these 2 come into anymore contact in the future. 1 Hill doesn't hides 2 Tigers as some would say.

Now, all I can do is take good care of them, play with them when I can and hope for the best.

Xiao P House Upgrade

Added the additional level also from AB. Fits perfectly giving Xiao P one more level to keep his stuff and play around. I had to change the tube though. It appears they are designed for robo only... But I am really happy it all works out. I haven't decided what to put in the extra spaces yet though.

The weather is hot in the few days and I guess thats what makes Xiao P feels hot too. He is sticking his head out while he sleep. He has lost some fur on his face due to molting...

Warzone - Dust Storm

I try to capture the actual extend of the dust storm without having to witness it myself... Ok, the W660i camera really sucks at this, but I hope it is still able to show those cloudy dust on top of the cover sheets here.

It was fortunately that Xiao P was the first to be send out on 0-2 days, Due to the noise that came from my neighbour who started, Xiao P woke up and thought Apocalypse was close. Anyway, he is the lucky one who is staying a few house away. The dust storm would had probably killed him otherwise.

One fine night, I decided to just switch the flower wheel to vertical and guess what, it only took a few minutes and Xiao P has learned how to use it. I quickly grab the camera and film this.

Xiao P ~ Hide and Seek

There was always this day I needed to wash his house (glad I can do that. Nobody can wash MY house). So, its either the hamster wheel or a temp home. Just happen this day Xiao P has tired of the wheel, so he goes into one of the carrier I used to bring him around.

But what happened? Where is Xiao P?

Xiao P just found a new game : Hide and Seek. And he has hide behind a transparent sandbath... Nevertheless, very amusing...

Ok, he gave up... :P

Xiao P's Playground

Xiao P has a nice little playground for a while. Lets see what exactlly can he do in his playground.

These are some of the things he has on his playground. There is a de-smell toilet just in case he needed it during playtime. It is the white triangle building in the left bottom.

At the top is a platform where there is tress and fences for he to have a good view.

In between these is a see-saw which will move about when he walk by... He likes to walk under it too.

At the middle top is the tree where he can climb onto or into because there is a hold in it.

Below that is a tray which he can keep some of his stuff like food etc. It also move about acting like a toy for him.

Last but not least is the flower wheel on top which bents in 2 angle allow him to run vertical or horizontal.

Xiao P has other toys in the playground, but I will leave that in another session.

Wini the murderer!

Wini did something really bad. she killed one of the hamster! It somehow got out and Wini quickly picked it up and killed it. The hamster was all wet and soft. Its very likely all the bones were crushed.

No matter how cute and nice she had been, I find it very hard to ever forgive her... Really. It not a matter of saying I forgive, but to come from the heart is a difficult thing. I still remember once when I brought Xiao P over, she pound on his plastic container. If the container dropped and open, I am sure, Xiao P is dead then. Now, I really feel very scary. I will never bring Xiao P anywhere close to Wini again.

Xiao P moves again

Xiao P has upgraded once again from the AB Cage to the AB Deluxe Bungalow. He must be very happy. At least I hope so.

He was a bit nervous at first. First he missed his house which I have no choice but to give him back for a while. Anyway he was also not used to the tube system for getting up and down... for a day anyway. Now he is happy with all the things he have. In fact he is now very fast to get to what he wants now. From the running wheel to his bathroom and the food tray. In fact he loves the artic also... Well anyway for those few days before the earthquake anyway. Did he knew it was coming and was climbing to "higher" grounds?

The first home was simply too small even for a hamster. Its more like a pet taxi to him. I finally had upgraded his home to something a bit more decent. Its a AB cage that comes with a house, a wheel, drinking bottle and a food tray. He is damn happy with it I can tell.

Another view here, but the toilet din't come with the cage, I bought it seperately. Xiao P is qutie happy with his new home!
