Rampage Through Time

Who would still be playing with the Playstation 1? ME. Well, at least this particular game called Rampage Through Time. Basically, its an extension of the original Rampage series which I must say simple, but will never be replaced. This is just one of those beat them up where you can take the bad guys for a change.

I must say this is probably the first PSX game I beaten on the PS2. I start to realized the so many problems of playing PSX games on PS2.

First there is the Gameshark. Well fortunately Codebreakers codes are 100% compatible. Next is the savegame. I had a multi bank save, which I just found out will not switch bank on the PS2... To add to the problem, there is no way to manage the PSX Memcard in PS2. This means I have a full card not able to delete off the older saves. A real situation this is now. I will have to find out how to or else this is probably the last PSX game I can play on the PS2 as well.

P.S. I still like Ralph as compare to all the other monsters.

Painkiller + Painkiller : Battle out of Hell

Finally got the time to sit down and finish this game. I must say the graphics is pretty decent. Especially BOOH. There are many new levels which has a very different theme from WW2 Leningrad to a Themepark. I must say I love the rollercoaster drive. Too bad I was too busy shooting then to be able to enjoy the scenary. The City scene is pretty cool as well. Reminds me of the Land of the Dead. They just keep coming and you just keep kicking asses. :)

Wel, I managed to finally ran this game at 1280x1024 which is my LCD resolution without much problem after a fan upgrade. I wouldvery much love to take a photo and show you how my graphic card looks like now, but I feel really lazy to take out the casing again. Maybe another time then.

Night shoot on SE K750i

Night shoot is always the killer for digital camera. And you can see even in this first picture its not so fantastic. I had choen the worse light condition and probably my worse shot as well.

This is the Zoom of the moon. Emm surprisely it has some details. Much like those astronomical pictures. Other than the noises, I figure at least you can take this kind of night shoot. @nd thought, maybe not. Go get a real camera for night shoot, man.

SE K750i Zoom Day Mode

This is the original picture I took near Esplanade.

And this 2nd picture is the zoomed version of Fullerton Hotel from where I was standing. ITs not too bad o nthe phone LCD given it is pretty limited. Its not too bad on the PC too, unless you fullscreen it or print it out. I say, that is most likely due to the 2MP camera. But I say I am pretty happy with the zoom. Its Only digital zoom btw, I only wish they will make a real zoom camera phone.

Wats wrong with the XDA IIs

I had always wanted to say why I sold my XDA. OF cos it has to be after I sold it off :P Anyway now will probably be a good time.

1. Blue Angel HT505. If your serial number starts with HT505, you have the same piece of junk as me. This series has known screen problem. It will die on you sooner or later. Likely Sooner. The technician knows and admitted the problem at the repair center.

2. Impressive Camera. Seriously... Its so impressive I couldn't find another camera with worse output. At VGA, it clearly loses out to my previous Nokia 6600. It is so blur and so much noise in the camera. Hei, I had even seen the 1.3mp from the XDA Mini. Trust me it is not even slightly better. And it is still worse than the Nokia 6600.

3. BAD service. I do not need to say who does it. People who owns an O2 device will know and agree with me that the place that service it is almost a visit to Lucifer's doorstep in hell. Well, at least its warmer at Lucifer's place. But seriously, I can understand why Nokia is not under them for servicing. Hei, I am not a Nokia support.

4. Weight. It heavy you know. Possibility heavier than my current handphone and PDA added together. Thus not a good idea for my hand nor pocket.

5. Bad reception. I dun know if I was unlucky, but the reception is not something I feel can match the Nokia or even LG phones. Just simply not good in most cases. And it get very irritating to get cut off when you are speaking.

6. Bluetooth. Good brand. Broadcomm. But bad implementation. They only includes profile for Bluetoothe headset and alsolutely nothing else. Even a $100+ LG phone could send files to my PC using the bluetooth, but my $1400+ XDA just couldn't. PC is ok at least, but supposely you are outside and need to send some picture to another device, well, its a dead end.

7. 400Mhz only. It just doesnt kick some of the software I needed. I was very spoilted by the Dell's 624Mhz. For example, Morphgear will run like a snail, if it even runs at all.

I had this, tested and evaluated it or as long as I can tolerated, When to the hell, no I mean service center twice. All I can say. O2, I had enough.

Sending SMS from everywhere else besides my phone

Sound crazy right? Who would want to do that? Well, ME.
Look here. I have my phone buried deep in my pocket and I just dun feel like taking it out and I didnt really enjoy using T9 on the phone actually. Why? Because I have a PocketPC on my hand now and it is not cool to send the SMS from here? Well, it is. Using a very simple software call Simple SMS (Well, it say what it is). Anyway you can download it here :
http://www.visualit.co.uk/simplesms.htm&e=10342
and I really thank my brother, Chris for introducing this to me.

Now I am at home, sitting in front of my PC... I just feel like disturbing someone with my SMS... and I am damn lazy to walk 3.5m to go pick up my phone... Ok, where is it anyway now... Maybe more than 3.5m... Heck, why dont I just send it from my PC? Ya, why not?
I just realized Microsoft had written 2 solutions for this.

Via WinXP itself,
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=06A4F997-7F69-4891-8929-37B9041924A2&displaylang=en

Via Microsoft Outlook 2003
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=240080B4-986E-4AFB-AB21-3AF2BE63508B&displaylang=en

Well, cool enough for me. Now I am really hands free from my phone as far as SMS is concern. BTW, All these is actually not possible without the wonders of Bluetooth. :)

Bobi on Frog

So there was a lot of people asking me to post more of Bobi the Dog. Here is another one where he plays on the frog toy. Emm... He seems a bit nervous on this one though.

NKF Donation

The recent uproar about the ridiculous (I could not find another word) pay and benefits some people get working for a charitable organization. No wonder everyone wants to go work in South Africa as a volunteer. ( No offensive, but this really helps in putting trust in charity. )

For me, the least I could say was, I was not conned of so many. Or I did even donated in the first place. Charity has always gave me the impression that it can be and will be use in a court.. no wait, I mean use for the bad purpose of something else such as Terrorism. I can still remember there were articles that talks about some ofthe so called funds are actually supporting the act. That is why I become very careful about who and what I am donating to. Sad to say, most organization could prove neither who they are and what they actually do.

So, before you throw your 2 cents into the tincan, ask yourself again. What if you are partly responsible for the corruption or even destruction of the society just becos your 2 cents went into the wrong hands. For me, at least I am proud to say, I slept well at night. :)

I would like to include a link to the Petition Site for the NKF incident, but I suppose it does not really matter now. It is not just this incident, but I feel the existance is of no importance. The public knows that have fundsing for the coming what 20 or 30 years, so I didn't expect any donation to come in any earlier anyway. They will probably be better off playing the Sim Lim game by changing name and start (doing whatever they were doing) again.

Hmph.

Dell x50v is finally here

Finally got my hands on my Dell x50v. I still have not play with it long enough to say anything. Immediately after purchase, I was down at DOML paying $25 for the Martin Fields screen protector. I better hope this is worth it. Anyway, this means I will probably be spending my next few days installing applications back. I love to be back on the Pocket PC instead of the Phone Edition which does not run some of my fav applications.

Will write up more on the Dell x50v soon. Right now, I just need to sleep.

Finished Kagero 2 Survival Mode

Finally got the chance to finish the survival mode of Kagero 2. Basically its 10 levels of 10 enemies with limited time. A bit challenging at first, but you need to know what is the best and faster way to finish the enemies. Guess this is where knowing the right traps makes a hell lot of differences.

Lost

Been chasing this show for a while now until Episode 16... I must say its a good TV series. Its got some cool content and a very catchy storyline. I was just kinda heard that there is no answers even at the end of the first season. How sad... Kinda remind me of the 4400s which only ran for 6 episodes but was fantastic too... That kind of lead me to think that Lost is all about alien aduction... very might like Taken. Anyway, lets not spoilt anything and wait on to see how things develope.

Upgrading Phone and PDA

Well, nowadays its all about the Merge. Phone + PDA = Pocket PC Mobile Edition. I was there, I loved it, yet I am back. I still remembered I was the very Die Hard 2 devices person. About 2 months ago, I saw the XDA IIs. A beauty it was. But after many problems and stuff I finally had to let her go and came back to 2 devices. And guess what, after all the selling and buying, this is the accounting...

Nokia 6600 (+$330) -> XDA IIs (-$850) -> Sony Ericcson K750i(-$695) = -$1215

Shocking har, but then I am selling my XDA IIs off too...

Axim X30v (+$400) -> XDA IIs (+930) -> Axim X50v (-$638) = $692

That leaves my total to $523... Well thats the price of the upgrade I guess... The price of the lesson I guess too. Well, I am the 2 devices man again.

Kagero 2

Kagero 2 Wallpaper

Just completed Kagero 2 : Dark Illusion on the PS2. Wonderful. Althought I have not complete all the extras but I must say the game is cool. Its fun playing. And thats one element many games has forgotten. They just concentrated on the opening CG too much. :) Anyway this game is kinda sick and not for everyone I guess. I played since Tecmo's Deception, then Deception 2 and 3... Its been a long time.

I also wrote a FAQ for this game. Well, its been a long time since I last wrote a FAQ too. Fun doing it. I will update the link once GameFAQ approve my submittion.

This is the link to their official website :

Night Shot from K750i

Here is an evening shot I took. Its pretty dark actually and I took this without using the Night mode. I feel its good enough. In case you are wondering what I was trying to take, its the cloud formations in the sky.

Another Macro Shot from the K750i

Well, here is another shot from less than 10cm away from the plant. This is one hte my first shot with this camera so its quite rough. The Macro is not bad at all though.

Macro on the SE K750i

I mentioned I just gotten the K750i. ITs a pretty cool camera phone or phone camera... I can't say which is which anymore. Anyway one side is a phone and the other is the camera. To my surprise this phone actually has a Macro Function. Picture says a 1000 words. See the thorn on the cactus.
