Transformers : More mistakes than meets the eyes!

Yes, 4 months before the show I am already forseeing this to be a disaster! Other than the few points I pointed out in the previous post :

1. Optimus Prime model is wrong
2. Bumble bee looks like a monster

Here are some which I already spoted :

1. Megatron has been changed into a Jet from a Gun.
2. Scorpinok was suppose to be huge. His size is to be rivial by Metroplex. Of course, there was Fortress Maximus later...
3. Originally Devastator was in the movie, but not the same Constructicon we know. We can only hope to see any of those 5-in-1 in Transformers 2.
4. No Dinobots. Yes, not even one of them.

Btw, here are some pretty hard questions for your Transformers fan out there.

1. How many cassettle "pets" did Soundwave have? Can you name them all?
2. In one of the episode, there was an Autobot who can transform in to a Flying Saucer and did not want to be part of the war. What is his name?

4. Who was it that Optimus Prime is able to merge with in G2/3 to become a more powerful Optimus?

The blind can see, in Singapore!

Yes, do not believe me? Ask Singapore's blind superstar Chen Wei Lian. He personally claim that Andy Lau's and Faye Wong's dancing sucks and they are still super star!

Its just a few days ago on the newspaper. Its was not that I am not sympathetic to the disabled, but one should never had been as aggrogant as him. In the first place, I had never support him and I didn't think out of all the unblind people in Singapore, there is no better man. I had always felt it was a joke some country had elected a blind president. Well, Singapore had a blind super star!

That aside, out of everyone, he is the last that has the right to comment about other people dancing! If he comment about bad singing, I will not penalize him. Moreover, if you had watched Andy Lau's Vision 2006 tour, you would know that commenting him about his dancing is not fair at all. Being disabled doesn't give one the priviledge to condemn others without using the brain (well, unless the disabled has no brain, then excuse me).

Not that I really dislike Wei Lian, but this time he just gone too far!

Are you underpaid?

Well, I know I sure am. Despite 9.2% increment, my pay still sucks compare to a junior auditor. Why? I also dun know. Do I work hard? I come back at 10pm quite often. Do I hate my job? No...

Emm... Its time to meditate. I am looking ahead for another job and I have a feeling it wil lbe far far away... Will it be at G****E? :) Only time will tell....

Transformers : Their War, Our World

Strangely the Sub-Title is not "Robot in Disguise" or "More than meets the eyes". There is a huge trailer out there with HD option. Just google for it. However, I must say I never thought there will be this day. In the intro you get to see Optimus Prime, but no Megatron... And even that I saw lots of post about using the wrong truck mode and OMG BumbleBee looks like a REAL bee and nothhing like what is is suppose to look like...

I just hope despite all these, they do not screw up with the story and no Quatizors I hope, those creature kinda spoilt the story of Transformers anyway.

BTW, My favourite is still Omega Supreme.

M2 1GB at $89

Finally bought my M2 memory card for my K800i. It costed me $89, but I guess its ok. Consider that M2 2GB is only $160. then I came home and saw Yahoo auction at $82. Emm. Well, bought is bought. Now I am happily loading all my MP4, yes, to hell with MP3 now... Mp4 is much hi-tech now :)

Seriously, 1 GB is very large for songs and pictures. My K800i is not much for apps and games so I suppose I did make a good choice to stick with 1GB instead of 2GB.

Grand Seasons International

Just got a call. My contact was pickup from somewhere I drop in those major shopping mall. I had won a Watch, A Spa voucher and a free stay at some hotel. Sound good? Sound familiar? Sound like Timeshare. :)

I chatted with the lady and ask if I needed to attend any talks, any seminar whatever. She say no, just see an exibition and this company wants to promote long term relationship with customer. They even dare company themselves to Chan Brothers. Anyone from Chan Brothers should get this. This comments is definitely unhealthy for your image!

So I dragged and dragged. Told her my wife cannot attend... Ba ba.. while I can buy time to check them out. Guess what, the place to collect : Delfi Orchard... The Timeshare blackspot of Singapore. sorry to say, I do not think any respectable company will house themselve in that building.

Microsoft is giving away MS Office 2007 for free... WEll almost anyway. If you bought or buy MS Office 2003 now, you are eligible for the free upgrade which they will ship to you. I know that the brochure out there is very misleading and many people are asking these questions :

1. OEM and VLK can upgrade?
2. Acad version is not upgradable?
3. Only Full version product can be upgraded. Upgrade product cannot?
4. Office XP can also upgrade?
5. Star Office can trade in for Office 2007?

OK, that last 2 is obviously BS. For Qn 1 is cannot. For Qn 2 and 3 is CAN.

Xiao P moves again

Xiao P has upgraded once again from the AB Cage to the AB Deluxe Bungalow. He must be very happy. At least I hope so.

He was a bit nervous at first. First he missed his house which I have no choice but to give him back for a while. Anyway he was also not used to the tube system for getting up and down... for a day anyway. Now he is happy with all the things he have. In fact he is now very fast to get to what he wants now. From the running wheel to his bathroom and the food tray. In fact he loves the artic also... Well anyway for those few days before the earthquake anyway. Did he knew it was coming and was climbing to "higher" grounds?

Yes, finally its time for the answer. Let me say that this is my answer. There is no way to be 100% sure until you catch that guy/gal.

First a few clues. Got the name from the telephone book. Thats the last place anyone will need to look to threaten people for money. You never know who you might hit (Like me).

Next, there is a stupid mistake. Phone number. Ah long will never want to be contact. They will contact you... Sound like one of those job I did where the customer will say, "Don't call us, we'll call you.". :P

Given the 2 facts, there is one clear answer. I am not the victim, but the tool. The victim is the guy/gal with the phone number. Let's look at the real story.

Guy A hates Gal B cos she was bitching around with other guys or watever. So Guy A grab the phone book and wrote tons of message threating people for money with Gal B number. Guy A expects the people to call and harass her, report to police and watever that gets Gal B into trouble.

Sound like a possible answer? OK, maybe except the bitching around part. But anyway, I believe that was what happended.

The day there was no internet...

It finally happened. The most horrifying movie of the year turns reality. The Internet was down for the whole of asia for like 2 days now... 6 submarine pipes where broken during the 7.2 scale earthquake in Taiwan.

2 death. 32 injured. MILLIONS of people crippled by the internet.

Haiz. What can I say. There was a time when Xmas is about giving present and enjoying turkeys. Now its about disaster and internet problems. I wont be surprised if Bin F-cking Laden will come out and claim that he caused the Internet failure (or even the earthquake itself)... Funny... but I find it hard to laugh.

The Internet has became so a part of our life that we cant live without it anymore... I can only hope that everything get fixed soon. But FAT hope that is. According to Starhub (you know what SingNet has not even made an annoucement about this yet...) has claim that this will take like 3 weeks to fix. 3 WEEKS!!!

Its time for a long vacation I say. Somewhere cold and no need for Internet perhaps. Syberia? Hehe :P Or maybe its finally the right time to down all my servers and perform the OS upgrade they had long due to perform. Maybe with a compliment AV scan and defrag. Now will be the good time.

Hell, I should spend less time on the Internet. This is clearly an addiction. I should not evne be writting on this blog now. I am going for a cup of coffee and a slow walk in the rain.

HD Regenerator vs Spinrite

It's time again to bring out a old tools. Spinrite. I am not sure how many of you have heard of this. Back in those days, this tool was one of its kind. You basically use this to non-destructively rewrite your whole HDD. Why you want to do that is clearly explained at http://www.spinrite.com

Now, Spinrite has many mode. The fastest is the test mode which I ran against my other HDD. HDD Regenrator sure saved my HDD. Fact of life. But Spinrite ran at like 100x the speed. It took like 30 minutes to complete where HDD Regenrator took 16 hours. OK, not 100x, but you get the idea.

However, do keep in mind the test level is probably different. And leaving this to run over the night 7 hours and 7 minutes has no difference. I say, both these tools are great things to keep and run at as good periodical testing. Audits should include a question that check if the HDD is periodically tested :) Rather than waiting for it to go bad sector and fail on you. You agree?
