Ultraviolet - Redefine Cool

After the try-so-hard to be cool Underworld:Revolution, I guess I am pretty dead hearted about seeing another one good cool movie. I am not even looking forward to the end of trilogy Underworld:Revelation (Just guessing) ... Until I saw this poster and this trailer...

Ultraviolet is about a futuristic world where super soldiers were made from vampiric blood mutation and suddenly the government feel threaten and wanted to get rid of them. The problem, Milla Jovovich is Violet. One of the best and guess what, the starring of this movie.

Well, I am looking forward to this one. To be honest, I did not really regconise her in black hair though. To catch the really good trailer, you can try grabbing it off Sony's site or to get a really good one, try the 104MB ones around. Megagames one is cool.

Goodbye 白白

One of J's new hamster has gone missing... for a week. We were wondering how it got out of the cage... Maybe eaten by cats, fall into pipe hole.... Well, we were all wrong. 白白 did none of that. He must had gotten stucked in one of the tube in the Hamster house and practically died inside... Until it was discovered very late...

Before we go on about hamster house safety, I think we should just let it rest and mourn for 白白 for now...

The coke machine "eats" my coins again. This time 2 single $1 ( Don't ask, I was stupid enough... ). I felt likely kicking and murdering the vending machine on the spot. Well, then I realise there was a number 1800-xxxxxxx to call label on the machine...

That was some days back. And within 2 weeks, I got a letter like this one here :


Well, and of course there is this $2 attached to it...


I might not be able to get back the lost airtime on my mobile phone (yes, I can't believe it either, you still pay airtime for 1800 number in Singapore...), but at least I dun have to keep remembering this incident and having to wake up from a nightmare where the Coke machine is murbering "All - All - All your coins, are belong to me..."

What Lies Benealth

Ever bought something from the store somewhere and there is a sticker over it...
Well especially when it comes to drugs and medications. What actually lies benealth the sticker? Ever wondered?

Well, from my knowledge, there are several possible reasons why sometimes this is done. Mostly its due to regulations. In some country its ok to claim something which is totally not true or even claim it contains something that is not present in the formulae. Believe me, such countries exist. And very often, its because some of these has been modified to be sutied for local sale. For example, instead of saying "it can cause death due to drug allegie", they might want to rephase it as "allegie can results in various reactions"...

In any case, I am not here to attack the company or this product. But I am saying, next time when you see a sticker over your product, do entertain yourself and see what you have been missing. (BTW, in case you want to know, I will NEVER buy these product in general, especially pets food, where its so common to see these)

Tammy loses her phone today, what will you lose tomorrow?

A recently hot topic about dear tammy whose handphone was stolen and sex video exposed over the internet. In this case, its a simple clear cut. Girl owns the information, thief stolen it. Thief deserved to be punished. But wait a minute, what about the owner of the data? OK, I know I sound like I going against Tammy now. But the fact is I am not. She has my sympathy. And believe me, I also have lots of naked pictures (of Bobi and Wini) inside my phone which is very dear to me...

The point is lets think of another story. Bank ABC. They love you and gave you tons of credit cards, accounts etc. All your personal information is "safe" with them, even your mother's maiden name, fcs. Well, I do feel this information can be discriminating... Imagine those poor fokes from the orphanare? Are they destiny to never own a card?

In any case, Bank ABC has your info. They setup some webportal, did not test it properly (as always) and has obvious loophole where a user can click cancel, reset pasword and change the account number to some other account and create a new password, then download al lthe data belonging not only to this account, but all the accounts... There. As bad as it can sound, but 100% possible.

Wanna-be-hacker XYZ went in one day, foundthe click click fault by accident, then change a account, login, manage to download all the accounts data of every single customer of Bank ABC. Eventually, either he brag about it and got caught, or a customer complained, the "hack" was found. XYZ is probably punished and jailed (and quite likely get a few job offers waiting for him at realease). End of story. The bad guy is punished.

Or is it? Whose fault is it? Does the bank has no fault at all? Is the holder of data information not held responsible at all? There may not be a Privacy law here in Singapore, but I certainly feel the Govenment should consider have a law to hold information holders responsible for any breaches. You still trust you bank? They are not responsible if you data is stolen? The hacker's fault. They will coldly stared at you and answer. This is certainly not the way I would like it...

In USA, there are even laws now to ensure that not only are data information holder responisble, but they are not suppose to retain data that they cannot proved to be in use by them, like my neighbours name or when my grandpa died.

Ok, back to Tammy. On one hand, she is a victim here. But maybe she should take good care of her phone esp when such important data is inside. On the other hand, I know how easy it is to lose a handphone. Well, about losing handphone, thats another story for another.

Lets just let this matters rest for Tammy and I hope it will be soon forgotten.

Well, its like the time I told you that microwave food is far healthier than traditional food... That another story anyway. Today lets check out MSG and Salt. I remember a heart surgeon once told me before. Salt is bad for the heart. MSG? Emm... Don't think so.

Well, whether thats true or not, eating plenty of salt is definitely the way to go to get hypertension and HBP. Hope this article at least will make people put less salt, especially into those already MSGed food.

Witchcraft : A True Story

This is a retold of a 80s story which appears in the newspaper. Its a huge story that rocks S E Asia back then. Basically this is what happened :

A old man died. He came back to life. Everything seems normal, but a shocking true came to the family when he was examined at the hospital. All his internal organ is not alive. They are beginning to rot and decompose. The old man does not even have basic functions a normal person should have. Yet, the true is, he is standing here alive... Soon after, suddenly the old man passed away AGAIN. This time for good.

Ok, I think if you are scared, you better stop now. What I am going to tell here is the true that has been hidden for years. Whether you believe me or not, its all up to you.

The old man has a few children. One of the son has practised and trained in the chinese arts of magic. When the old man was in grave illness before his first death, this son who has a very filial person begged and asked the Hell King to prolong his father's life in exchange for his. He did not knew if it would work, but its a long shot. True enough, his father was revived and eveything seems normal to the family. His father ate, sleep and even joked. However, his son knew somewhere was not quite right due to his father's aura.

He prayed again and seek for an answer. He even confronted his father, but his father did not show any signs of problem. Eventually, he wanted his father to go to the hospital for checkup. Hi father was totally mad about it and refused. He even fought against going. In the end, its with the help of the family, he practically dragged him to the hospital. The result was scary as mentioned before.

At night, his son finally came alone to talk to his father. He asked him who is he and what he wanted. At first, his father did not respond, until eventually he has to use magic arts against him when the family finally admitted he is not their father. He is a demi-god of the forest. His temple was destroyed a long time ago and has nobody praying to him. As a result, he is weak and eventually found the oppocunity to occupy the father's body as well as his memories.

So began a long and hard process of bargain the son has with the demi-god so that his father's body can rest in piece and not pieces. The demi-god also realized that the body will not hold and is breaking down. In the end, some promises were made. The details I do not know, but its probably to do with burning paper money and setting up a temple or shrine for the demi-god. With that promise, the father died again.

The son was the person who retold the story. He has kept this secret for years and not even his family knew about it then. Well, I retold his story here. Its an amazing tale, but I do hope nobody loses sleep on this.

Resident Evil : Extinction

There is no official storyline available, due to the fact that the movie still is in pre-production.
Its said that "Extinction" ( the third part) will be set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun with mutant zombies and will play will play in the Nevada desert with the Aussie outback standing in for the American wasteland.

Rumored characters to appear in the the new "Resident Evil" movie are Leon S. Kennedy, Albert Wesker, Claire Redfield and Chris Redfield. Its also said that the movie will have similarities to the game "RE: Code Veronica"

Ah Hao Must Die!

1. So that he can kill other pesty 8 years olds you really hate in school.
2. So that Malaysia people dun say we Singaporean bully outsiders.
3. So that he can assist in the multi million dollars production of "True Crime : Singapore" as well as "I know who kill your daughter last summer"

Seriously, Ah Hao die die also will not say what really happen. Was it to protect someone else who is possibly involved or simply he is trying to play insanity till the end. Neither way, unless he do reveal why and how, he is the one and only person who can possible kill Wang Na. Well, unless you consider the case that Wang Na decided to struggle herself to death.

Please, think of the justice and the consequences. If we can no longer uphold Justice and the judgement passed can be easily revoted by a simple petition and press pressure, then murders will go free and kill again. Ultimately, its the inoocent will will suffer.

Note that neither do I side with Wang Na or her family. Her parents will dishonest people will continued to lie about al lthe details and has since lost my trust. I am not saying Wang Na deserved to die, but her parents simply are too rich and arrogant to be pitied. Imagine what all those money donated could had done for the old folks home or centers for the unfortunates.

Lastly, its really funny why we have to be so concerned about a China girl getting killed by a Malaysian man in Singapore.
